Halftone Leaf Sleeve

This sleeve is perhaps the newest evolution of the nature/technology theme I've explored in the past with the pixelized leaf sleeve. This time the leaves and water dissolve into the 'halftone' dots used by printing presses to create shades of gray in black and white images. Everything but the background (seen freshly done here--sorry, it's a little irritated and darker than it should be after healing) has multiple layers of pigment, which allowed me to build up fine details in the leaves and make sure all of the color was highly saturated as well. I'm really into this piece and I'm glad it was on such a cool guy who makes good art. You can check him out at www.jacobaker.com
