I did this fun sleeve on my studio partner Evan Lovett , inspired by The Pine Barrens forest in his childhood home New Jersey. He wanted to pay homage to one of his favorite places and express a theme of rebirth and regeneration--which takes place after the cleansing destruction of naturally-occuring forest fires. I attempted to capture the essence of glowing, burning embers and charred wood through some experimental layering techniques, and worked into an existing hand tattoo done by our mutual friend Sean Zee.
